Massimo Lucchina

Massimo – Director at Cisco Systems International.

After experiences at Politecnico di Milano (1990-1991), building and managing the IP terrestrial network for the European Space Agency (1991-1992) and the creation of startup EPOS in collaboration with Deutsche Telekom and Swisscom (1992-1994) for exploiting ISDN services and video conference, Massimo joined a fast growing Cisco in 1994. He opened the sales office in Milan and then moved to Paris into European Technical and Support role also managing the Service Provider consulting team to introduce and deliver Voice over IP technology and solutions in Europe; he has been part of the Cisco European Business Development team and then led multiple development activities in the mobility and wireless space: Mobile IPv6 and Mobile Access Router which won the Murai Award for the collaboration with Renault, led the MANET Ad Hoc routing investigation and initiated the Sensors Networking program and development. He helped in opening R&D offices in France and in Switzerland where he currently leads the local team to deliver Medianet advanced video experience through the Cisco video product line. Massimo grew up in Milan (Italy), graduated in Electronic Engineering MsC from Politecnico di Milano.
