Mauro Lattuada

Mauro is Technology Transfer Manager at the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) since March 2013.

Graduated from the Milan Polytechnic in 1998, Mauro worked for Alcatel in the department of radio links. He joined EPFL in 2000, where he participated in a new project on wireless systems for digital news gathering. The same year, he co-founded Livetools Technology (a company developing compact and portable digital systems for TV production of sports events like Olympics games or the Tour de France) while working on his doctoral thesis in the field of signal processing.

In 2006, he worked for Abilis Systems (a Kudelski group company now ALI Tech Corporation) as Algorithms Team Leader. His group was responsible for developing products for digital video broadcasting (DVB) and the management of external collaborations with research institutes and development centers.

With Abilis, in 2009 Mauro moved to the sales and marketing group as technical manager, with the mission to define new products for the distribution of protected content, evaluate new technologies, develop the business and manage the support activities around the world.
